Unfortunately I am now in the middle of downloading the dame again and cannot test this out. A user in another forum has suggested this and some others have confirmed it will work, wish I hadn't uninstalled it now if this was an easy workaround.
Since I upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to 11, whenever I try to launch a game from command and conquer ultimate collection, lets say Generals. The Origin app would just dissappear and then reappear again but without anything happening. Would appreciate some help here.
This "should work" you may need to re-enter the 2 commands after the PC is shut down or re-booted other wise your good to go and you can run the game by normally double clicking on the short cut Icon after exiting the game. I found after a couple of times of re-booting it seems to have remembered it and I havent had to re-enter the commands. Upon reboot or start up for the first time you run the game for the day you have to right click "Run as Admin" on the CC or Zero Hour short cut may want to make a little cheat sheet in note pad with these commands and just copy paste them when needed.

As for Star Trek: Armada... I know nothing about the game, but if it's a DDraw malfunction there as well (as it is with a lot of these old games), then perhaps DDWrapper could work on it too. It did the job for Dungeon Keeper 1 for me, anyway (though there was still an annoying fast scroll bug on the mission selection map). It's not a patch made for RA2, after all; it's a general fix with quite some options to play around with in that config file 😉
