Our press kit is an amalgamation of all of the assets previewed on the branding page and more in a single package. It enables those who wish to promote the project and its development through high-quality digital media. We provide high-resolution assets such as our logo in 3 iterations, our supported operating systems, supported CPU and GPU hardware, rendering backends and much more.

In its current state, RPCS3 does not support reading game data directly from PlayStation 3 format discs. PlayStation 3 discs are formatted in a very special way that can only be read with an actual PlayStation 3 system, or a compatible Blu-ray drive from select manufacturers. For more information on what Blu-ray drives are capable of reading games, please refer to the Quickstart Guide .

Our developers are pushing the very boundaries of PlayStation 3 emulation. Our rapid progression would not be possible without our contributors and Patrons. Our patrons not only keep us motivated, but keep our lead developers working on the project full time.
RPCS3 requires the PlayStation 3 system software because it contains dependencies and proprietary libraries for the emulator to function. If you are running Windows, the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable is required - Linux, macOS and FreeBSD do not require it.
RPCN is a netplay service that allows you to play revived PlayStation 3 games. See real-time statistics of currently active players, popular games, and ongoing multiplayer sessions.
The project is currently maintained and organized by a unique cast of characters, all with meaningful roles to contribute to different aspects of the project. Whether it's working on the emulator directly, coordinating community efforts or even keeping this very website current, everyone plays a role that adds to the bigger picture.
Internal team members aren't the only contributors. A lot of the progress made in making PlayStation 3 emulation possible on PC is thanks to the many developers we've received contributions from in our GitHub community. While many developers do come and go, we do welcome anyone and everyone who is interested in improving the codebase.
