Fred Olsen Cruise Lines’ fleet consists of four ships. Balmoral , Bolette , Borealis and Braemar . Bolette and Borealis joined the fleet in 2020 and replaced the two longest-serving vessels, Black Watch and Boudicca.
Our smaller-sized ships have been elegantly designed and they all look and feel like ships with wide open deck spaces as well as lounges and restaurants which have been meticulously planned to ensure you have a wonderful experience. The smaller size of our ships allows us access to more interesting places, such as Norway’s lesser known Fjords, or the islands of the Azores . It also means we can dock in the centre of some of the world’s most fascinating cities. Fred Olsen provides traditional, home-like cruising with an unhurried onboard atmosphere — the main reason for the company's many repeat customers. The liners offer a variety of itineraries, from a few days (European mini-cruises) to Around the World Voyages . The 2018-2019 brochure ("Venture to the four corners of the world") included two World Cruises: a 107-night Black Watch voyage from Southampton on November 12, 2019, starting from GBP 9,850 per person, and the company's longest itinerary ever — a 168-night Boudicca cruise, departing October 3, 2019, from GBP 15,000 per person.
